View snapshot details
TimeFinder SnapVX is a local replication solution that is designed to non-disruptively create point-in-time copies (snapshots) of critical data.
Steps
- Select the storage system.
- Click Protection and select Manual SnapVX from the Protected Storage Groups section of the summary panel.

Select a storage group, click
, and click the number next to
Manual Snapshot Count.

Select a snapshot and select
to open the snapshot
Details view.
A graphic displaying the replication configuration is displayed. It shows the following items:
- Containers representing the
clone source and clone targets.

- An arrow indicating the direction of I/O
- A central icon and label that indicates the
state of the replication pair.
Linked, Copied, Restored
Copying, Restoring
The following properties display:
- Name—Name of the snapshot
- Snapset ID—Identifier
- Creation Time—Date and time the snapshot was created.
- Expiry Date—Date and time the snapshot is set to automatically terminate when either "Secure" or "Time to Live" has been set. If the snapshot is not set to automatically terminate, N/A is displayed for this field.
- State—Snapshot state
- Secured—Indicates whether the snapshot is Secured or not (A checkmark indicates that the snapshot is Secured, a dash indicates that it is not. "Expired" indicates that the snapshot was Secured but is now expired.)
- Policy Snapshot—Policy snapshot indication
- Persistent—Persistent indication
- Snapshot Capacity (MB)—Snapshot capacity
- Snapshot Capacity (GB)—Snapshot capacity
- Snapshot Capacity (TB)—Snapshot capacity
- Volumes—Number of volumes
- Linked Storage Groups—Number of linked storage groups
- SRP—SRP name
- Tracks—Number of tracks that have been allocated to preserve the point in time copy of the source volume since the snapshot was created.
- Non-Shared Tracks—Number of tracks uniquely allocated for the delta of the snapshot.
- Expired—Expired indication
There are also links to views displaying objects contained in and associated with the snapshot. There is a number after each link, indicating the number of objects in the corresponding view. For example, clicking Volumes opens a view listing the volumes that are associated with the snapshot.
